Nisa-Nashim groups came together on Sunday to support Sadaqa Day, the Muslim led day of social action founded by Nisa-Nashim co-chair Julie Siddiqi. Women worked in the morning to pack and distribute over 450 lunch boxes to people in shelters and hostels in Harrow and across London. In the afternoon a delegation of women worked with Borehamwood based charity Goods for Good UK to sort and pack boxes of donations for Syrian refugees. Both events were a great success.
Soraya Janmohamed, co-founder of Nisa-Nashim Harrow, said ‘This was a collective effort. Imagine what we could achieve if this a regular joint venture. United we worked, united we will remain’
