Jewish and Muslim women from across the Nisa-Nashim network joined together to attend Holocaust Memorial Day events. Our members were present at events held in Bournemouth, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow and Belfast.

Sunday 27th January 2019 marked Holocaust Memorial Day. This year’s theme was Torn from home, which encourages reflection on how the enforced loss of a safe place to call ‘home’ is part of the trauma faced by anyone experiencing persecution and genocide. Holocaust Memorial Day 2019 also included marking the 25th anniversary of the Genocide in Rwanda, which began in April 1994 and the 40th anniversary of the end of the Genocide in Cambodia, which ended in 1979.
