Nisa-Nashim members from across the network have had an exciting start to 2019! Our groups have been busy planning and holding a variety of events for their members – have a look at just a few of the fantastic events that have taken place over the last couple of months.

Manchester:
Our Manchester group kicked off the new year with a wonderful wellness and vitality evening at Bowden Synagogue. 35 Muslim and Jewish women keen to create new friendships, came together to learn some much needed hints and tips on wellness, vitality, health, self care and well-being, from wellness coach Suzy Glaskie.
Wessex:
Co-chairs Lynda and Hafsa were invited to speak about Nisa-Nashim at a lunch at the Bournemouth Rotary Club. They spoke about the ethos of Nisa-Nashim, and shared recent projects their Wessex group had been involved in. Everyone was impressed and they received lots of positive feedback!
Glasgow:
Our newest co-chairs Danielle and Asma, from the recently formed Glasgow Nisa-Nashim group spent their weekend on the cold streets of Glasgow, preparing meals and handing out much needed items to the homeless.
Manchester:
Co-chair Joanne hosted 14 Jewish and Muslim women at her house for ‘Friday Night Dinner on a Thursday’. They enjoyed fresh home made challah bread and chicken soup, and learned about the traditional Jewish prayers and rituals practised on Shabbat. The women took part in some wonderful conversations, while building friendships, trust, understanding and a sense of community.
