The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has launched a new fund, with support from Google.org, to empower communities to tackle violent extremism and a rise in hate crime offences in the capital. Our very own Laura and Denise were there, and they loved their cupcakes!

The new fund, run in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), will be invested in local communities and grassroots groups because evidence shows they are best placed to counter hate, intolerance and extremism. They will be setting up a network of civil society organisations like Nisa-Nashim as well. Mayor Sadiq Khan, at the launch, remarked that extremism, intolerance and hate crime of any kind has absolutely no place in London and that his administration will make it a priority to build a more united society. We, as always, will continue to work for the same goal.
