Nisa-Nashim Leeds hosted a story telling event and it looked wonderful! Ruth and Afreen spoke about Khadija, the first wife of prophet Muhammad, and about Esther, Jewish queen of the Persian king Ahasuerus. These two figures and what they represented became the starting point for a conversation on important women within our two religions.
They all gathered in the Leeds Museum, which ended up being a lovely venue. Here are some pictures of this insightful evening.
