Noa and Ameera gave us insight into the important work they are doing to build bridges, foster connections and nurture young women in Israel and Palestine.

“When Tomorrow’s Women was established there were already many similar organisations, but ours was the only one for only women. We acknowledge  that we live in a conservative community, and we want the women to be able to join and for their parents to be comfortable to let them join. Making our organisation for only women and girls was a great solution for hearing unheard voices. My girls and the Muslim girls are the same and there is no one truth.” Noa

“UN resolution 1325 discusses the participation of women – women are not represented enough and we are focused on rectifying this. Through the past 21 years, these women are everywhere in society. Being mothers, raising kids in acceptance, they are graduates work across many sectors, the United Nations, World Economic Forum doctors, teachers and more.” Ameera

“Really inspiring this evening – the leadership they show in such challenging times – developing the next generation of leaders is so important. In a grim week it has brightened up my day.” Laura C

“I salute both the speakers for their work” Nazima O

“Incredible and inspiring both, thank you!” Sakina S

“Thank you Ameera and Noa – for who you are and for your commitment and strength to your work and especially for continuing during these especially difficult, painful and uncertain times.” Ann D

Pathways to Peace is Nisa-Nashim’s online series, launched in May this year. In our Pathways sessions we showcase game-changing women-led NGOs in the Middle East, to remind ourselves that there is always something good being done in the world to combat division and hate.
